Meet Sherile

Licensed Professional Counselor

Sherile is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University, with a Master’s in Counseling and Guidance as well as a Plus 30 hours post master's certification in social work and Industrial/Organizational psychology.  After becoming licensed in 2004. she began an extensive career addressing the behavioral and emotional needs of others in diverse settings including the public school system, university counseling services, non-profit organizations, and private practice.  Sherile is trained in Sexual Assault Advocacy, Domestic Violence and Crisis Intervention/Prevention, and uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy Activities, and Person-Centered Therapy to assist couples, adults and families reach their ultimate potential. Her specialties include serving victim/survivors of trauma (emotional, physical, sexual) in addition to working with survivors of Abusive Parents/Caregivers (APC's).  With the client, Sherile uses all tools in her arsenal to help people exchange self-defeating coping skills for positive change, walk in their independence while establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries.

She is a proud mom, and 'Ga-Ga' who enjoys spending time with her family, going to local festivals, reading, and dancing like no one is watching.
